Iconography

Our icons are simple graphics that are easily recognisable and help communicate a message.

We have established two icon styles for versatility – outlined and solid. A full suite of both styles are available in our icon library here <hyperlink to icon library>.

Solid

Our solid icons are the more basic of the two styles, they are a monotone block icon which can feature in any of the primary or secondary colours or alternatively a tone of one of these colours, so that they work more like a watermark device.

They can feature in a variety of ways including on their own, in a container (e.g. a circle) or in a collage format to form a background or pattern element.

Outlined

Similar to the solid icons, our outlined icons can utilise any of the primary or secondary colours.

Our outlined icons are not constructed on a strict grid; however by following a few simple guidelines, we can ensure that new icons are consistent with all the others in the system.

  • Keep it simple -the fewer lines you need for the icon to be recognizable, the better.
  • Keep it consistent – our icon system is monoweight, meaning that all the elements of the icon are constructed of lines of a uniform weight. When scaling icons, the stroke weight should be scaled proportionally with the size of the icon. Icons should always remain at the same scale in relation to each other.
